We are entering an exciting phase in higher education delivery and availability. As technology improves and access to high-speed connections become ever more widespread, we have an opportunity to bring content to eager minds across the country and around the world.
Our campus has partnered with Coursera to deliver content through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform. As our work in the area of MOOCs and online delivery grows, we may engage with other platform providers as well as offer our own MOOCs. This website serves as a resource for faculty and staff interested in teaching MOOCs and for students who want to learn more about taking MOOCs.
The online education landscape is growing quite rapidly, and Illinois should be at the forefront of innovations in education delivery. Please visit this website for updates and information.

At this time, the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Review Committee is soliciting proposals for courses to be offered initially on the Coursera MOOC platform. Because of the unprecedented campus visibility created by free and open access to MOOCs, a competitive campus RFP process has been developed to prioritize the development of Illinois MOOCs.
